Late goals make up for lacklustre weekend
THREE late comebacks spiced up a weekend of SPL action that had promised so much in the way of entertainment, but ultimately delivered so little.
The Gers got our hopes up with two lightning-quick goals against St Mirren, but - despite creating a number of chances - Walter Smith will feel lucky to have hung on for the win after a terrific late effort by the gutsy Buddies.
Elsewhere, Hibs and Aberdeen played out a belter of a game - with the hosts coming back from the dead to rescue a point - while the Hoops had a close shave against ten-man Hamilton before the virtually unrecognisable Paul Hartley popped up with yet another late goal to keep Celtic's lead at the top of the SPL intact.
Kris Boyd (£3.0m) missed out on an opportunity to really rack up the points, but did manage to find the back of the net yet again to continue his strong showing in Dream Team over recent weeks.
